Research Interest :

There are currently three main areas of active research in the Ogunwobi lab.

  1. We are using our orthotopic syngeneic mouse models of metastatic hepatocellular carcinoma and colon cancer to understand the mechanisms of metastasis with particular interest in the role of circulating tumor cell biology.
  2. We are investigating the role of specific non-coding RNAs in the racial disparity in aggressive prostate cancer.
  3. We are investigating the role of specific miRNAs in chemoresistance in pancreatic cancer.
