The CTBR’s telehealth initiative connects health experts to underserved communities through interactive videoconferencing in our eCollaboration Facility designed to promote disease prevention and to encourage early diagnosis of certain diseases.

The Community Interactive Videoconferencing (CIVIC) Program has been coordinated in partnership with the CTSC at Weill Cornell Medical College since 2012. We deliver interactive educational workshops to underserved audiences using videoconferencing technology throughout the boroughs of NYC. The presentations are often delivered to community centers and faith-based organizations. Past presentations include topics such as diabetes, heart disease, nutrition, hands-only CPR, and yoga/arthritis exercises to senior centers.

Through our collaborations with the Clinical and Translational Science Center (CTSC) at Weill Cornell and the RCMI Translational Research Network (RTRN), we continue to broadcast to local communities and will soon reach out to communities nation-wide.
